The Una River is under urgent threat! A local investor has started construction of a dam at the spring of Una in Croatia. This sets a dangerous precedent, underminig environmental laws and protection to safeguard our natural heritage. Protests and many other activities to stop this lunacy are going on, but help is needed!
Here’s what you can do:
Step 1: Take a photo with a sign saying, ‘Save Una’ (selfie or group photo).
Step 2: Share it on your Fb page tagging the Croatian prime minister. Suggested copy below (use your own location):
Dear @andrej.plenkovic.rh, my message from (location): Please save the Una River, before it’s too late! This unique and beautiful river is suddenly under threat, despite having strong environmental protections. Dam construction started at the source of the river, in Croatia, two weeks ago and every day that it continues, more harm is done. #SaveUna
Step 3: ask three friends to do the same.
