Following sampling protocol we collected samples of water from the Soča after a leak from the TKK factory on April 21st. The samples of polluted water from Trnovo and Kobarid were delivered to the National Laboratory for Health, Environment and Food, today, to perform an independent analysis.
Why? Because of the fact that on the day of the spill, the director of TKK didn’t have any clue about the amount of spilled substance or the type of compound leaked. And the fact that the police did not allow concerned locals to access to the location that inspectors were doing official sampling. Due to these factors, we have reason to doubt the objectivity of the official analysis results. The results our samples are expected to be available in the second half of next week.
