Yesterday evening it became evident that all it takes is love towards a river, crazy local individuals and a set decision.
We got a message from our dear Romanian friend Catalin Campeanu saying they saved the Basca Mare river for good! Ever since we were there in their stunning valley with Balkan Rivers Tour 4, himself and Calin Dejeu from Declic were fighing a court case agains the illegal dam construction. Well, now they won and the river will run free!
We couldn’t be happier and more proud of them. You proved it can be done guys, congratulations! Now, let’s drink to that!
