Vlada RS in nekateri posamezniki se trudijo prikazati trenutno situacijo s sporočilom, da je vsak, ki protestira proti njim, del ekstremne levičarske politične opcije in se kot tak trudi zrušiti vlado. Gibanje Balkan River Defence in nevladna organizacija Leeway Collective, ki gibanje vodi, se vzdržuje zagovarjanja katerekoli politične opcije in javno izjavlja, da ni, nikoli ni bila povezana ali v kakršnikoli komunikaciji s katerokoli politično stranko in takšnih namenov nima niti v prihodnje.
