In just 24 hours, 88 donors and companies from four countries donated sums between 5 and 500 EUR, totaling 3,362 EUR.
Together with EUR 3,000, which we managed to collect even before the start of yesterday’s ‘crowdfunding’ from our emergency fund and help from the Free Rivers Fund and Packraft Europe, the total collected represents the amount of EUR 6,362.
We need a total of EUR 5,500 for the translation of the study, which means that you/we managed to collect as much as EUR 862 more than expected.
So we have an important question for the last of those who contributed:
DO WE RETURN EXCESS COLLECTED FUNDS TO YOU OR DO WE KEEP IT IN THE BALKAN RIVER DEFENSE EMERGENCY FUND?
In the past, we have used funds from the emergency fund to cover court costs for the Romanian river Basca Mare, to partially cover the costs of the campaigns Za naravo ob Savo and Za naravo ob Sočo, for the analysis of water from Soča after spilling from the TKK factory, and this time for help with the translation of evidentiary material in the court case of HPP Mokrice.
Please write your opinion in the comments under the Facebook post on the Balkan River Defence page (RETURN or KEEP) and we will make a joint decision based on the prevailing comments.
Thanks again everyone! You have proven that Sava means a lot to us and we are ready to take joint action for it.
