Shod Soča za Vse!, ki se je zgodil v soboto, 26. oktobra 2019 je zbral do sedaj največje število kajakašev v flotili na Otoni (150) in kasneje še pred Občino Kobarid (200). Naš namen je bil enostaven. Odločevalcem smo hoteli predati 1317 podpisov peticije “Pošteni pogoji za vse uporabnike Soče” z zahtevami. Ker se vabilu na dogodek ni odzval nobeden od treh Posoških županov, smo peticjio in zahteve nalepili na vhodna vrata občine. O njihovem odzivu vas bodo obvestili, takoj ko ga prejmemo. Soča za vse! To jesen so nam župani in občinski svetniki Zgornjega Posočja namesto kostanja zakuhali predlog za nov Odlok o upravljanju z reko Sočo. Predlagane spremembe Odloka odkrito prikazujejo njihov način dojemanja reke Soče kot gosi, ki nosi zlata jajca, lastnik teh pa naj bi bile občine. Nov Odlok je načrt bogatenja občin na račun nič krivih kajakašev; taistih ljudi, ki so v 60-tih letih preprečili potopitev doline z jezovi, v 80-tih glas o dolini Soče ponesli v svet in se še vedno borijo za divjo Sočo, ki vsem prinaša koristi. Naš dokumentarec The Undamaged (Nepoškodovane) bo ta torek, 8. oktobra ob 20:50h na TVS 1 doživel televizijsko premiero. Vse od začetka post produkcije je bil namreč naš namen, da film po festivalskem obdobju doseže kar se da veliko gledalcev prav prek televizijskih projekcij. Upamo, da bo to prva od mnogih. Uživajte!

BALKAN RIVERS TOUR 4 – WEEK 3 RECAP Battling for Bulgarian Rivers Venturing into a pocket of the Balkans not yet explored, the Balkan Rivers Tour team had no idea what to expect as we drove south to Bulgaria. The countdown is on! Just ONE WEEK until the start of the last week of Balkan Rivers Tour 4. We have never been to Bulgaria with the Balkan Rivers Tour and we are very much looking forward to changing that. Stunning rivers that are unfortunately in danger of being destroyed by dams and a highway, passionate local river defenders, scientists, kayakers and fishermen and a cool program provide some serious potential to making this a severely special week. A detailed program with the day-to-day plan for Week 3: Bulgaria is now available. It will be the last action of BRT4 and the focus will be on fly fishing and macroinvertebrates sampling, hiking and birdwatching. We will still do a bunch of kayaking, or course! We are planning loads of extra events; outdoor films, lectures and workshops. And we will wrap up the week with a flotilla and a party to finish the Balkan Rivers Tour 4 in style! After a long day of workshops, kayaking, lectures, presentations, hikes and alternatives hunting it feels good to sit down in the grass, open a beer, lean onto your neighbour/friend/sympathy and watch a cool film about saving the Momma Earth in style. This is why we have joined forces with Kamp Koren, Kendal Mountain Festival and Bovec Outdoor Film Festival and put together 18 stunning films to make this a reality. We call it BRT 4 Film Festival.
